Hey dudes and dudettes, a few weeks ago I posted a link to my podcast The Power of Friendship. I just released an episode on shonen anime and manga and figured I've got this journal I should at least post something to it.

We cover shonen anime and manga clichés and genres. I think we did a better job than with the shojo podcast, maybe because we like shonen a lot more. A few examples of the topics we cover are, ‘turning your enemy into your friend’ (or punching someone in the face is a great way to start a friendship), chi blasts, and why on-on-one fights happen. We mention many anime series, but rest assured there aren’t any spoilers.

I think we cover some interesting topics and sub genres this time and would love to get some input. I'd especially like to get some input on the whys of certain shonen clichés, like one-on-one fights. My theories are things I just came up with and would love to see if anyone has some actual factual info.

Behold, the POWER OF FRIENDSHIP PODCAST has been released unto the internets!

My new podcast reviews anime and fantasy movies.  Each episode is dedicated to a single topic/movie/anime etc.  We review stories in depth so there will be spoilers for that episode's topic, but only that topic. You won't have to worry about listening to a Soul Eater podcast and suddenly hearing that Darth Vader is Luke's father (oh no! I've spoiled you!).

Warning: Some language in our podcast may not be appropriate for children.  After awhile, I just got tired of editing all of the curse words out (I never realized I had such a potty mouth).

I went to the trouble of making a live journal, so there really should be something here... there needs to be some kind of reward for bothering to check this out.  Thus, I've decided to post an "unoffiical epilogue" of sorts that I once wrote for my Naruto fanfic Learning.  At one point, I had planned to write a sequel to Learning...   My idea was to write each chapter from a different character's perspective on Naruto and Hinata's relationship set in different points of their lives.  However, Naruto manga went to crap and really killed my enthusiasm to write any other fanfics from the series.

However, I did write this...

LEARNED: Learning's Unoffical Epilogue )
